1/52 – Mystical

Have decided along with the new year to start a new project. It will be a 52 weeks project – each week I will think of one word and/or one thing that is inspiring me that week and capture it in a photograph. This week I captured one of each – my word this week is mystical and the thing is the fog that crept in New Years Morning. I have always found fog somewhat mystical, enchanting, magical..also makes me somehow think of the Hobbit and Narnia, two of my favorite series to read growing up.

Justine Russo workshop

Last month I got the chance to attend the Justine Russo photography Workshop. In the morning Justine talked to us about how she got started, branding, marketing, social media, networking, pricing and how to build a rapport with clients. The other ladies that attended were amazing – I know I left the day inspired and full of ideas on how to build my business, and where to go from here. Justine arranged lunch for us and after that, we headed to a local park where her sister set up a styled shoot with Sylvia and Matt as our models. I had a really hard time narrowing these down – this might be one of my longer posts!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Black and white or color? I couldn’t decide…

Some detail shots!

Thank-you to Chantale and the awesome vendors that made it happen:

Thank-you to Sylvia and Matt, our amazing models for braving 17 cameras!! You guys were awesome!!

More coming soon! I am taking a portrait photography class at school this summer as well so might be posting those as they come, plus photos from a wedding photography workshop I attended a couple of weeks ago.
